It has been a couple of weeks since the 2025 Ryder Cup.\u00a0 Despite some setbacks with a player needing to leave for medical reasons, invoking the envelope rule<\/a>, and a rowdy crowd<\/a>, the European Ryder Cup team was victorious at Bethpage.\u00a0 One player has felt a bit strange with the way people have approached him after the victory.\u00a0 Jon Rahm feels like he has been getting a bit too much credit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jon Rahm On His Team<\/span><\/h2>\n

Ahead of the Spanish Open<\/a> this week, Rahm has been asked a few times what it was like winning the Ryder Cup.\u00a0 He, of course, feels great about the victory, but has also pointed out another aspect of the question.\u00a0 He felt like it was a question he shouldn\u2019t be answering alone.\u00a0 Jon Rahm would say<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is very weird being congratulated for something that I didn\u2019t just do myself, right. Like when I get thank yous and congratulations, I wish we were all together because we all deserve it, right? It wasn\u2019t just me. I only contributed three points out of 15, right, and all of those three with a partner,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cSo it\u2019s an odd feeling, but it\u2019s very nice to be able to give that to European golf.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The way Rahm sees it, this was a team effort through and through.\u00a0 Sure, he was a big name on the team, but so was McIlroy.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t even the team captain, so being congratulated, to him, feels like taking too much credit.\u00a0 As he stated in the interview, he only contributed three out of fifteen points while his team carried the rest.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rahm Since The Victory<\/span><\/h2>\n

Jon Rahm would go on to call the past two weeks \u201cthe most emotional weeks for me.\u201d\u00a0 In part because of how big the Ryder Cup was.\u00a0 He called it a very unique and special event that left him with an incredible feeling, especially after winning.\u00a0 Now Rahm is playing in the Spanish Open in his home country of Spain.\u00a0 An event he has won thrice in the past.\u00a0 He has been looking forward to this one because it is another special event for him.\u00a0 He especially looks forward to seeing the crowd because of how good and supportive they have been to him in the past.\u00a0 Rahm is looking forward to giving them a good show in Madrid.<\/span><\/p>\n

After The Ryder Cup<\/span><\/h2>\n

Despite winning a big victory with the Ryder Cup, Jon Rahm is trying to stay classy with how he approaches it.\u00a0 He has a lot of pride in that event, especially in the team that worked together to get that victory.\u00a0 Rahm just wants everyone to remember that it was a team effort and that the rest of the team should get a piece of that pie.\u00a0 He is still on cloud nine with the feeling of victory on his mind, and is now looking to channel that energy into the Spanish Open to bring in a fourth victory for the tournament.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
