After months of recovery, Billy Horschel is back on the field and ready to play again.\u00a0 However, his recovery came too late for the PGA Tour season.\u00a0 He only got out just in time for the FedEx Cup to end<\/a>.\u00a0 That hasn\u2019t stopped Horschel from making big plans for 2026 and beyond, all in hopes of reaching his full potential in his golf career.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Billy Horschel\u2019s Surgery And Recovery<\/span><\/h2>\n

The reason why Billy Horschel was benched for most of the year was due to a hip injury he had back in April.\u00a0<\/a> To correct it, he needed surgery and went under the knife back in early May.\u00a0 The recovery time for the surgery lasted until very recently.\u00a0 He managed to miss the entire PGA season because of the recovery time.\u00a0 His next planned event is the DP World Tour BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth<\/a>.\u00a0 Just next week, Horschel will be back on the field.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Billy Horschel In 2026<\/span><\/h2>\n

Recently in a video released by the official PGA Tour Twitter<\/a> account.\u00a0 Billy Horschel was going over his training routine and was highlighting how the months off have been good for reevaluating where he can improve.\u00a0 Yes, even while he is still going through some of the stiffness that comes after a recovery period.\u00a0 He said in the same video that he struggles with patience.\u00a0 He is trying to build up strength and improve his hip movement to improve his swing.\u00a0 Horschel wants to take the months ahead in between PGA seasons to train even harder to make a great comeback for 2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Why is Horschel doing all this?\u00a0 Well, he wants to reach his full potential and has some things that he would like to accomplish.\u00a0 Billy Horschel would say in the gym:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI still believe even at 38, turning 39 at the end of the year, I believe I am nowhere close to reaching my potential. I believe there is a lot of really good golf left in store for me. So hopefully for the next four, five, six years we can put two or three really solid years together and see what comes out of it. I think if I am able to do that, I think some of the goals that I still haven\u2019t accomplished will be accomplished.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

One major goal for Billy Horschel is to bring home a Major trophy.\u00a0 Something that Horschel has not done in his career thus far.\u00a0 In the coming years, he plans to change that.\u00a0 He also has plans for making up for lost opportunities in 2025, such as the FedEx Cup, the Ryder Cup, and all the other missed events.\u00a0 Like the signatures and regular tournaments he missed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2026 Season<\/span><\/h2>\n

Although he missed quite a lot during 2025, Billy Horschel is not letting that hold him back.\u00a0 He has big plans for his career in the years to come.\u00a0 From winning majors to making the Ryder and FedEx Cups, he has a lot on his mind.\u00a0 With the time he is taking to train himself back up, it will be interesting to see what he has to offer for 2026 alone.<\/span><\/p>\n
