As Tiger Woods ages, he is leaving behind a massive legacy.\u00a0 After dominating the sport in the 2000s, he left some big shoes to fill.\u00a0 A legacy so great that other pro golfers are reluctant to fill his position.\u00a0 Golfers like Scottie Scheffler, who calls the idea a \u201cbit silly<\/a>\u201d.\u00a0 However, this past weekend, during the TPC Sawgrass, Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie Woods, managed to score his second hole-in-one in the past nine months.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Hole In One Is Incredibly Rare<\/span><\/h2>\n

A hole-in-one is something that every player strives to do at least once in their career.\u00a0 It’s rare enough that it actually has its own special name, keeping up with the bird theme that scorecards use.\u00a0 A condor is the alternative name to express the rarity.\u00a0 Tiger Woods has twenty spread across his career, most of which weren\u2019t on the PGA Tour, but Scottie Scheffler only has two that he has ever recorded.\u00a0 Same with Rory McIlroy.\u00a0 The two top players in the sport have only two holes-in-one.\u00a0 Yet Charlie Woods already has two, and he’s just starting his career as a golfer; he still has to raise his hand to ask to go to the bathroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charlie Woods Hole In One<\/span><\/h2>\n

Charlie Woods may only be 16, but he is showing himself to be a bit of a golf prodigy just like his father.\u00a0 His last hole-in-one was last December, during the PNC Championship.\u00a0 Despite the impressive feat, Team Woods didn\u2019t take home the win.\u00a0 When it happened, Woods excitedly embraced his father, and Tiger Woods looked to be just as excited for his son.\u00a0 This weekend, Woods managed to card one again at the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass<\/a>.\u00a0 The same course that his father won twice for the Players Championship.\u00a0 When he landed the shot this time<\/a>, there was a moment when everyone questioned if it actually happened. Once the confusion cleared, a visible celebration ensued.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charlie Woods And The Family Legacy<\/span><\/h2>\n

As stated before, Tiger Woods is leaving behind a legacy that most pros can only dream about.\u00a0 Woods was in the OWGR No. 1 position for a total of ten years.\u00a0 A record that hasn\u2019t even begun to be threatened until Scottie Scheffler took up the mantle in 2023.\u00a0 He was the face of golf; he was golf at the height of his career, and the other pros have a deep respect for him for his work.\u00a0 This is what Charlie Woods has to look forward to as he advances through the sport. If he is even half as good as his father, Woods will leave his own legacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charlie Woods Going Forward<\/span><\/h2>\n

Charlie Woods may be young, but he is already showing the potential that his dad had.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to be a few years before he can join the PGA Tour, but when he does, it won\u2019t be too hard to imagine that he will dominate the playing field.\u00a0 He is even trying out for this year’s Ryder Cup<\/a> in New York.\u00a0 Hopefully, he gets in and can show what he can do in an environment like that.<\/span><\/p>\n
