With Tommy Fleetwood taking home the trophy<\/a> from the Tour Championship, the PGA regular season has concluded.\u00a0 Next up is the fall series, but more importantly, the Ryder Cup.\u00a0 With this, players are either training for the Ryder Cup or resting before the FedEx Fall series.\u00a0 With that the question of who will be going on break has started coming up.\u00a0 One such player is Scottie Scheffler, who has been going hard for a long while.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t see a prolonged break as necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scottie Scheffler On His Schedule<\/span><\/h2>\n

In short, Scheffler doesn\u2019t have plans of taking it easy after the end of the FedEx Cup.\u00a0 When asked if he had plans to take some time off, Scheffler responded<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll stay in my normal routine for the regular season. I\u2019ll go home, I\u2019ll take a couple days off, and then I\u2019ll get back to practicing, get ready for Napa, and then I\u2019ll have another two weeks off, pretty similar routine to get ready for the Ryder Cup.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

It is assumed that Scheffler would be spending a good portion of those two weeks off training for the Ryder Cup<\/a>.\u00a0 This also means that Scheffler will be going hard until the year wraps up, not taking a break until the holiday season. \u00a0 As to whether or not he would slow down during a match, that is a resounding no, even if he won\u2019t win.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scheffler Doesn\u2019t Want To Take It Easy<\/span><\/h2>\n

After the final round of the Tour Championship, Scheffler was asked if he ever thought of slowing down.\u00a0 Specifically, if it was clear that he wouldn\u2019t be winning.\u00a0 He responded by saying that he would rather be in an interview for the win instead of being asked why he made certain decisions during a tournament.\u00a0 Specifically decision that wouldn\u2019t have gotten him any closer to the win.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a lot harder coming in here and answering questions. Why did you hit it out of bounds on 1? Why did you hit it in the water on 15? I\u2019d rather you say, \u2018Hey, you just won again.\u2019 How does that feel? I think that\u2019s a lot more fun than coming in fourth or fifth place.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the interview, he explained how he likes to take things day by day.\u00a0 He has a list of improvements he can already make for himself to better his chances for the future.\u00a0 Scheffler is already making some plans to make those improvements after the Ryder Cup ends, and he can be ready for the next season.\u00a0 The pressure was on Scheffler during the second round<\/a> of the Tour Championship, so a break is not an unusual suggestion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Training Hard<\/span><\/h2>\n

Scottie Scheffler is a very hard-working player.\u00a0 His hard work has more than paid off for him as he is in the No. 1 position in the OWGR.\u00a0 After every match, he has confirmed that he is looking for ways to improve.\u00a0 Scheffler is on his way to the Ryder Cup at the end of September.\u00a0 The US team is finalized, and Scheffler was a clear choice.\u00a0 He works hard for the sport, but hopefully, he remembers to take some time for himself in between all his hard work.<\/span><\/p>\n
