As the BMW<\/a> Championship underwent its final round Sunday evening, Scottie Scheffler was able to steal the day yet again. From entering the day behind Robert MacIntyre, Scheffler was able to do what he\u2019s known best for. Securing his win on the 17th hole with a chip-in birdie, which seemed to roll forever but also secured a two-shot lead. Now adding yet another season title ahead of the season finale, Scheffler is continuing his dominance by all means. Now joining talks in company with arguably the greatest to play in Tiger Woods, with back to back five plus win seasons. With his name sitting strong in first place of the FedExCup Playoffs, Scheffler is looking to close things out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Winning Is Normal\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Seeing the name of Scheffler as a tournament winner has become the new normal, and continued Sunday. Taking home the BMW Championship almost seemed to be in the reality of Robert MacIntyre. With the help of fill-in caddie Michael Cromie, Scheffler navigated his way through the final round for a comeback. Trailing by four shots to start the day, he managed to cut that lead by the fifth hole and make his run.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll of a sudden, it’s like, ‘All right, it’s game on now,’\u201d Scheffler said.<\/a> \u201cNo more cushy lead; it’s time to go get it. We did some good things there on the front nine and then kept him at bay there on the back nine.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ending things at the 18th hole with a par, the veteran also secured his 18th PGA Tour win. All victories coming within the short span of the last four years. Joining Woods with back-to-back five win seasons, is truly something special<\/a> and historic. Being able to ink his name into the history books has seemed truly easy for the veteran. Now he\u2019s tasked with finishing the job at the Tour Championship, where he\u2019s also the previous winner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jobs Not Finished\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Although Scheffler has been able to continue historic seasons, he still is looking to close out this current one strong. If there is anyone within the Tour capable of this feat, it\u2019s the 18 time Tour winner himself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cApproach everything week by week, and when it really boils down just day by day,\u201d Scheffler said.<\/a> \u201cIt\u2019s been a nice stretch these last few years, but it\u2019s not something I think about.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Keeping his humble mindset has clearly played in his benefit, with even more opportunity to create historic moments in his legacy. With the short notice of caddie change, Cromie proved to be a perfect replacement for regular caddie Ted Scott. Securing in four days’ work, a $360,000 cut from Scheffler\u2019s tournament earnings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat was fun,\u201d Cromie said.\u201cMy wife was excited because I was supposed to be home for five months \u2026 then I got a text from Scottie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

With the Tour Championship to take place at the East Lake Golf Club, the familiar territory will be a plus for Scheffler. Securing his sixth win in this season, will truly set him apart from any competition we\u2019ve recently seen.<\/span><\/p>\n
