Since joining LIV Golf, Dustin Johnson has admitted to taking it easier on the league.\u00a0 He is content with where he stands in LIV and has stated that he doesn\u2019t \u201cintend to play more golf than I currently do, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d\u00a0 This has led to criticism from fans and other pro players.\u00a0 Most are wondering if Johnson\u2019s glory is behind him.\u00a0 Another part of that criticism has come in recently, and that is that Johnson has yet to win an event this year.\u00a0 If that continues through the remainder of the season, it means that Johnson\u2019s ten-year streak of at least one win per season has come to an end.<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s Record<\/span><\/h2>\n

Dustin Johnson has had quite a record in the past ten years.\u00a0 Back in 2016, he made the No. 1 position in the OWGR.\u00a0 His career was so successful that he managed to land himself a comfortable sponsorship with TaylorMade.\u00a0 A deal that has only recently came to an end after eighteen years.\u00a0<\/a> Most importantly, since 2015, Johnson hasn\u2019t gone a single year without a win.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For most of Johnson\u2019s time with LIV Golf, that record has not wavered until recently.\u00a0 There\u2019s a reason why LIV wanted Johnson; he earned his star power a long time ago.\u00a0 The main issue he faced after joining LIV is the same thing other LIV players have faced: suspensions from other leagues<\/a> and the lack of OWGR points<\/a>.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t until last year that people took note of Johnson\u2019s performance<\/a>.\u00a0 To them, it looked like he was starting to buckle.\u00a0 He has missed the cut for the first two majors of the year.\u00a0 Although he did bring himself back up for the next two.\u00a0 At one point, there was even speculation that Johnson\u2019s career was coming to an end in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dustin Johnson Responds<\/span><\/h2>\n

In the face of these claims, Dustin Johnson seems fairly unbothered.\u00a0 He wasn\u2019t even aware of what people were saying.\u00a0 When asked about his thoughts on the matter, Johnson responded as follows.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI mean, I probably wouldn\u2019t have thought about it until you just asked me. Obviously, I\u2019ve got two chances here, this week and next week, so we\u2019ll see what happens. I\u2019m playing a few more events in the fall, so the year is not over yet.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson is being fairly optimistic about the remainder of the season.\u00a0 He has landed a few top ten positions during the 2025 season<\/a>.\u00a0 Four times to exact since March, and during the Chicago event, he finished T25.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s Still Time<\/span><\/h2>\n

Dustin Johnson is right that the year is not over yet.\u00a0 Sure, opportunities to score a win for the year are waning, but they are still there.\u00a0 At any of the remaining events, Johnson can easily trounce the competition.\u00a0 Johnson has even alluded to the idea of playing on a separate tour for the fall.\u00a0 With that, more windows of opportunity have opened for him.\u00a0 Dustin Johnson has the skill, and all he needs is a little push to keep his winning streak going.<\/span><\/p>\n
