The 34-year-old has been chasing his first PGA Tour win for years, coming close on numerous occasions but ultimately falling short. However, after a brilliant start at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, this might finally be Fleetwood\u2019s moment.<\/p>\n

Fleetwood In Impressive Form At FedEx St. Jude Championship<\/h2>\n

Fleetwood has been in impressive form so far at TPC Southwind<\/a>. The Englishman opened the tournament with a stunning 63 in the first round and shot a six-under 64 in the second round to build a lead after starting with three birdies in four holes, then making four straight birdies from holes 13 to 16. He kept the ship steady through the middle of his round, parring every hole except the 18th, giving him a four-shot lead at 13 under par going into the weekend.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old has endured many near misses in the past. He has 42 top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour but has yet to record a single win. Fleetwood is widely regarded by many as the best player never to have won on the PGA Tour. Earlier this year, he led after three rounds at the Travelers Championship<\/a> but was caught and passed by Keegan Bradley on the final day.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not easy, really. I just happened to have played really well. When you shoot two good scores, it\u2019s easy to say things have been going really well, but I think for the most part, I\u2019ve been very good off the tee. My iron play has been solid, and I\u2019ve rolled the ball well.<\/p>\n

\u2018Maybe This Week Will Be The Week:\u201d Fleetwood Optimistic On Chances of Winning<\/h2>\n

Fleetwood has won seven times on the European Tour and played a key role in Europe\u2019s dominant Ryder Cup win over the USA in Rome. He has been one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour this season, regularly finishing in the top 10. The only thing currently missing is that elusive win.<\/p>\n
