With the playoffs for the FedEx Cup just around the corner, the final top 70 list has filled out<\/a>, and there is now a set group for the St Jude Championship.\u00a0 This list is filled with some of the best that the PGA can offer.\u00a0 Notable names like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are at the top of the list, despite the ladder not going to the first event<\/a>.\u00a0 There are some surprise entries like Aldrich Portgieter, who sits at number 43, and this is still his rookie year for the PGA Tour<\/a>.\u00a0 There have been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that the players have shed to get onto this list.\u00a0 However, one player is feeling rather demotivated.\u00a0 Cam Davis has admitted that he is looking forward to some downtime between seasons after 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

2025 For Cam Davis<\/span><\/h2>\n

Davis has had a rough 2025 season.\u00a0 Missing the cut in half the events he has played in, and only making the top ten once, he didn\u2019t have much going for himself.\u00a0 However, it wasn\u2019t for lack of trying.\u00a0 He attended twenty-two events.\u00a0 Nearly all the events that were available to him, even attending three of the majors.\u00a0 He didn\u2019t attend the Open, although he did attend the Barracuda Championship<\/a>.\u00a0 Not a single win, and in the majors, he found himself close to the bottom of the list.<\/span><\/p>\n

Davis Ready To Pack It In For The Year<\/span><\/h2>\n

In an interview, Davis has described how he put his heart into this season<\/a>.\u00a0 Working as hard as he can to improve his game, only to make it into the top 70 list barely.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI feel tired,\u201d Davis said. \u201cI\u2019ve pushed really hard for the last few months, and it\u2019s not led to any better golf. I\u2019ve had a couple of little bright moments, but you can probably count on one hand since April.\u00a0 So I\u2019m almost pretty much ready to put the clubs away for a little bit and just rest my brain and work on that as well, because I would say that more than anything else has been the thing that I\u2019ve found the hardest to get on top of.\u00a0 Yeah, either way, whether I get to play next week or not, I\u2019m looking forward to the time after that where I can put my feet up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A sentiment that many people sick emphasize with, putting all the work in one can possibly do, only to barely squeak by.<\/span><\/p>\n

The St Jude Championship<\/span><\/h2>\n

The St Jude Championship is only for the top 70 players.\u00a0 The next event, the BMW Championship, is only for the top 50.\u00a0 It is very much possible that Cam Davis can be eliminated by the end of the tournament, and he is aware of that.\u00a0 At this point in the season, it is very unlikely that he can turn things around for himself.\u00a0 Which is why he is looking forward to some downtime.\u00a0 As Davis said, he is tired; he worked hard for the sport, and now he is ready to just relax.\u00a0 Maybe he can turn things around next season. This one might have been a bust for him, but there\u2019s always next year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
