An event that many will take into high consideration for prime reasons. One being qualifying for the FedExCup playoffs that will begin in near time. Yet the main one for many will be hoisting the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/why-pga-player-tour-earnings-dont-go-as-far-as-you-think\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">trophy,<\/a> declaring them the newest Wyndham Champion. The previous winner in Aaron Rai will be back to make his run at a two time champion designation. With the pressure heating up as the clock nears playoff time, those in the field of play should be expected to showcase strong performances.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Notable Names At Wyndham<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many of the top golfers in the sport will be in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pgatour.com\/leaderboard\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">competition<\/a> and even some back in their home state. Those like Ben Griffin from North Carolina, have many eyes on them ahead of a tough lineup. Griffin has two top 10s at Sedgefield thus far but hasn\u2019t been seen in much action as of late. Now with a chance to answer back to critics in his golf play, Griffin is eager for a statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another veteran many may not have circled on their expected top performers list, is the stout Keegan Bradley. Bradley who recently won the travelers championship yet again, to currently being ranked 10th in the FedExCup standings. He is by all means setting the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/fedexcup-playoffs-on-the-line-see-what-players-need-at-wyndham-to-advance\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">standard<\/a> of what it means to go all the way in this sport. Arguably one of the best pure putters in the sport, Hall is looking for a statement win and advantages leaning towards his personal game. With the weather looking to have a negative impact in the tournament days, this could boil down to a putting contest. One that Hall will take happiness to, as he is among the leaders in numerous standings. Maybe the most eye opening, being ranked second in converting greens hit into par breakers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rain Rain Go Away<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we have seen the weather negatively impact courses and even performances, it looks to be the same story come time for Wyndham. Rain is expected to be a heavy factor come start of round one, and continuing into the later rounds as well. In preparation many of the Tour players will look to add different inputs into their game as they go.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The champion at the end of the tournament will be awarded 500 FedExCup points, while also grabbing a PGA Tour membership through 2027. At this point in season, golfers ranked 175th and below will have difficulty qualifying for playoffs.
