DeChambeau and McDonald appear in the new Subway commercial to great effect. The commercial is part of a broader partnership between Subway, Netflix, and advertising agency Dentsu. Together, they\u2019re bringing back some of the best moments from the original movie to build excitement for the sequel. It’s a perfect match for fans of both golf and Happy Gilmore.<\/p>\n

The creators added a fun twist to the commercial that long-time fans of Happy Gilmore will love.\u00a0In a playful nod to the original film, Shooter McGavin isn\u2019t chasing a gold jacket this time\u2014he\u2019s after something new: Subway\u2019s collector cups featuring his own face. In a quick moment, he snatches one straight out of Bryson DeChambeau\u2019s<\/a> hand before running off.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the campaign is the new Happy Gilmore Meal being offered at Subway. Customers can now upgrade any combo to include one of four collectible cups designed by artist Mickey Duzyj for just $1 extra. Each cup features a character from the movie (Happy, Shooter, Hal L., or Oscar) and comes in themed, collectible packaging.<\/p>\n

But the campaign doesn\u2019t stop at the restaurant counter. Each meal comes with a QR code that takes customers to Subway\u2019s \u201cHappy Place,\u201d an online hub filled with games, bonus content, and sweepstakes offering over $1 million in prizes.
