Six-time PGA Tour winner Lucas Glover has added fuel to the existing tension between PGA Tour and LIV Golf. The veteran stated that he doesn’t want LIV golfers to return to the PGA Tour fold as both tours continue to dialogue over the possibility of reuniting.<\/p>\n

Glover Insists He Doesn’t Want To Play With LIV Players Again<\/h2>\n

Fans and fellow players recognize Glover as one of the most outspoken figures on the PGA Tour. The 2009 U.S. Open winner stirred controversy just a few months ago when he claimed that many players refuse to hand over their real drivers for testing and instead offer a backup version. The 45-year-old also criticized the PGA Tour for making its fields smaller and reducing the number of exempt players each year from 125 to 100. Glover believes that LIV Golfers players shouldn’t be allowed to return to the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to play with them, me personally,\u201d Glover stated<\/a>, \u201cI don\u2019t think they should be back here. I don\u2019t want them here. They made their decision. I don’t blame any of them. They made a decision, I don\u2019t care, but they also went away from this tour and chose to.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a PGA Tour player and somebody that dreamed of playing on the PGA Tour, and have poured my heart and soul into this Tour and game for 21 seasons now, I don\u2019t want somebody that chose another path and a path of least, or, less resistance. I don\u2019t want them back here competing and taking part of my pie and these kids\u2019 pie that are trying to make it now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glover Having Hard TIme Dealing With Potential LIV Golf Players Return<\/h2>\n

While Glover insists that it is wrong for the breakaway players to walk back into the tour, he admits that having top LIV Golf players like Bryson DeChambeau<\/a> and Jon Rahm<\/a> back on the PGA Tour would have a significant impact on TV deals, but insists that the PGA Tour should not base their decision on that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would benefit all of us because our TV deal in 2030 would be great,\u201d he added. \u201c[But] does it behoove us as tour members, who have equity now, to grow our sport by bringing some of those guys back? I\u2019m having a hard time with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glover holds the 31st spot in the FedEx Cup<\/a> standings and has claimed six PGA Tour victories. The 45-year-old occupies 46th place in the world rankings<\/a> and is tracking toward postseason qualification. He is likely to advance to the second event, the BMW Championship. Glover also revealed that he struggled to separate emotions from his thoughts, even though others had advised him to do so.<\/p>\n
