{"id":435204,"date":"2025-06-12T01:59:50","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T01:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/?p=435204"},"modified":"2025-06-12T01:59:50","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T01:59:50","slug":"bryson-dechambeau-confirms-liv-golf-contract-negotiations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/bryson-dechambeau-confirms-liv-golf-contract-negotiations\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryson DeChambeau Confirms LIV Golf Contract Negotiations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this year, Bryson DeChambeau was one of the many rumored golfers who would leave LIV Golf in the near future.\u00a0 DeChambeau, of course, denied the rumors, and this week he confirmed that they were false in an interview at the Oakmont Country Club.\u00a0 He did this by confirming that he was in talks with the higher-ups at LIV Golf about renewing a contract.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DeChameau Rumors Can Be Put To Rest<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bryson DeChambeau was one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/liv-golf-might-be-losing-its-top-players\/\" target=\"_self\">LIV Golf players who often appeared on a list of an exodus<\/a> at the start of the 2025 season.\u00a0 His name appeared so frequently that he felt the need to address the rumors at one point.\u00a0 Denying the rumors never seemed to be enough because they kept popping up.\u00a0 However, with DeChambeau revealing that he is looking forward to the negotiations for a new contract, it is safe to say that he won\u2019t be part of an exodus.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LIV Golf Sees Value In DeChambeau<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, Bryson DeChambeau is one of the best players on LIV Golf.\u00a0 He is also the current US Open champion and is returning to Oakmont to defend his title.\u00a0 Losing DeChambeau would be a massive misstep for LIV Golf, and he is well aware of that.\u00a0 DeChambeau is also positive on contract renegotiation, as <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sXLebeZS2XI\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">he revealed at the Oakmont interview.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNext year is when it ends,\u201d DeChambeau said. \u201cWe\u2019re looking to negotiate end of this year, and I\u2019m very excited. They see the value in me. I see the value in what they can provide, and I believe we\u2019ll come to some sort of resolution on that.
