There are many names in the sport of golf and PGA Tour<\/a> that have become household names over time. From next level tournament play to off course fame, the Tour athletes display greatness in many areas than before. One athlete in particular, knocking down every door in his way has been Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler<\/a> is recently coming off a next level victory at the Memorial Tournament, joining Tiger Woods as only two athletes to win the tournament back to back. <\/span>It has been made evident, Scheffler is in a league of his own despite the strong skill set shown from others around. With this victory added to his bag, Scheffler is now one step closer to chasing down one of the most decorated legacies in all of golf, in Tiger Woods.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Respect Is Earned Not Given\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After taking home his second consecutive Memorial Tournament victory, Scheffler inked his name into the history books yet again. With all of his accomplishments, he is still crossing things off a long list of accolades in his quest for more. Being in the conversation with a golfer like Woods, will forever be a win in itself. It has been the solid and consistent play seen from Scheffler that has gathered the eyes of some of the best in the history of golf.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBen Griffin’s a nice player, Sepp Straka is a nice player, Nick Taylor is a nice player … [Scottie Scheffler] knows those guys are not in his league,\u201d Jack Nicklaus said<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is this type of praise and acknowledgment from those Scheffler once watched, that gives a glimpse into his success thus far. Not only is his game appreciated from those before him, but his current peers in the sport even more. Those like the successful Jordan Spieth, took time after the tournament to recognize some of Scheffler’s strengths that set him apart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s maybe the best there\u2019s ever been as far as clubface control,\u201d Spieth said.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Work Still To Be Done\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Despite turning pro in 2018, Scheffler has been able to secure 16 PGA Tour victories and a total of $86,917,622 in career earnings. Truly showing how dominant he has been in such a short time span, marking a three year span in between his first and 16th Tour win.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI always have thought about just playing in these tournaments, I don\u2019t think about dominating them or anything,\u201d Scheffler said.<\/a> \u201cI\u2019m just trying to be the best I can be, work hard and use the gifts I have for good.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2025 PGA Tour will continue on for all athletes, as the next tournament expected to have major attention is the U.S. Open. Taking place June 12th through the 15th, one that again hosts some of the top athletes in the sport. It will be another primetime tournament for Scheffler and his team, as they look to slow down the previous winner in Bryson DeChambeau.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
