\u00a0As the 2025 season of the PGA Tour<\/a> continues, we have seen some remarkable highlights over the past few weeks. With the PGA Championship<\/a> to take place this Thursday, fans all around should be in store for more top tier talent on display. Jordan Spieth in particular, will be on his search for his first ever career Grand Slam. Something his peers like Rory Mcllroy accomplished during his appearance at The Masters. Spieth and Phil Mickleson are both two active players still in search to join the club, with chances to achieve such this weekend. The veteran and pro since 2012, will need to start off with a strong round one. Considering the field will be packed from top to bottom, with the best of the best in the PGA Tour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Can Spieth Handle Business?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During this Tour season, it has been one that could be considered positive and low at some points. With 11 total events played thus far, Spieth has made ten cuts with three top ten finishes as well. The anticipation for this event has been at a high for the 31-year-old, as he expressed to the media.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always circled on the calendar,\u201d Spieth said.<\/a> \u201cFor me, if I could only win one tournament for the rest of my life, I\u2019d pick this one for that reason.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The stage is set for Spieth to act on his appreciation for this tournament, with a hopeful victory and completion of a Grand Slam.<\/a> With many elements going into this weekend of play, it\u2019s something Spieth is accustomed to and not stressed over. In fact, the headlines surrounding Spieth stem from the brilliant Masters victory by Mcllroy. As a result, the attention has now shifted over to see if it can be accomplished come time for round one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSomething like that has not been done by many people before, and there\u2019s a reason why,\u201d Spieth said. \u201cI\u2019d love to throw my hat in the ring and give it a chance, come the weekend this week.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stick To What You Know\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So far in this season, Spieth is ranking in at 19th for strokes gained within all players. A stat that is oftentimes discussed, but not something that is the ultimate factor in decision. Although the season has not gone in the complete direction as desired, Spieth continues to stack up with his colleagues on the regular.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Spieth has had many events where it looked as though he was the front runner by all means, but still unable to finish out those tournaments with victories. It\u2019s been the constant feeling of being right at that finish line, yet allowing others to claw back and cross before him. With a prime chance at the PGA Championships, it can be a prove it type week for the vet. One that will put him into conversation with some of the greats like Mcllroy and a handful of others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
