He continues his dominance in a field of many other talented golfers, putting on display his ability to split apart from completion easily. Through the first nine holes, Scheffler managed to start strong going out with 30. Throughout the tournament, he continued to improve and move towards this first season victory in his current hometown. Gaining six shots on the field average every outing, he finished holding a trophy and tying the PGA Tour record with a 253 total.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Personal Win For Scheffler\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a professional in this sport since 2018, many accomplishments for Scheffler have been welcomed with little emotion. This time around, the star was caught up in the personal meanings of this victory at TPC Craig Ranch.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt feels like a lifetime of hard work and sacrifices for little moments like these and they\u2019re pretty special,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GOLF_com\/status\/1919154899838755223\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scheffler said.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The remarkable finishing score of 253 tied the record for the lowest score in PGA Tour history, with good company. Joining the group with Justin Thomas who completed his at the 2017 Sony Open, and Ludvig Aberg at the 2023 RSM Classic. Being in such good company is an accomplishment in itself by all means. Although Scheffler was able to leave this tournament with a much deserved victory, it has not been a \u201ccakewalk\u201d this season as compared to others. Even with things being more difficult this season, he has put together 6 top ten finishes and one runner-up finish as well. The season will continue, with Scheffler having now knocked off the cobwebs and now back into the winning circle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wins Result In Big Paydays\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taking home this tournament meant a big payout for the deserving winner, and a considerable amount to the top ten finishers in general. Yet, Scheffler walked away with the biggest smile and $1.782 million dollars richer.
