{"id":433935,"date":"2025-03-30T08:36:59","date_gmt":"2025-03-30T12:36:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/?p=433935"},"modified":"2025-04-23T16:40:02","modified_gmt":"2025-04-23T16:40:02","slug":"brad-dalke-tour-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/brad-dalke-tour-card\/","title":{"rendered":"Golf Influencer Brad Dalke: Is a Tour Card in the Cards?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Last week, golf influencer Brad Dalke went onto<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7y8rcihF7-E&amp;t=1s\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> The Scratch Golf Show for an interview<\/a>.\u00a0 There, he let it be known that he has been encouraged to try out for a Tour Card.\u00a0 With that said, what are Dalke\u2019s plans?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brad Dalke: History In PGA and Becoming A Content Creator<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If Brad Dalke were to try to go pro again, it wouldn\u2019t be the first time.\u00a0 He was originally in the US Amateur Open in 2016.\u00a0 While there, he managed to secure an invite to both the Masters and the US Open for 2017.\u00a0 Unfortunately, he missed the cut for both those events and never earned his Tour Card.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Defeated, he turned to YouTube to do what he loves for a growing audience in a growing niche, made famous by felling golf <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/2025\/01\/30\/rick-shiels-liv-golf-partnership\/\" target=\"_self\">influencers Rick Shiels<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/2025\/03\/28\/golf-influencer-grace-charis-addresses-rivalry-with-paige-spiranac\/\" target=\"_self\">Grace Charis<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2020, he started a YouTube channel with some friends called <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@GoodGood\/featured\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Good Good<\/a>.\u00a0 There, he found success with his challenge-style videos, hosting events, and touring unique courses.\u00a0 The channel has 1.77 million subscribers and regularly brings on some pro players to spice things up.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Scratch Golf Show Interview<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Between his brief history with the PGA Tour and his influence online, he gets some attention.\u00a0 He went onto the small-time golf show for an interview.\u00a0 He admitted that a number of pro PGA players are trying to push him back onto the Tour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<em>\u201cI\u2019d say right now, I am more on the full-time content creator that can still play golf well, and if I have some opportunities, then great. I have been kind of getting the fire in the belly to play a bit more competitive stuff,\u201d<\/em> Dalke said.\u00a0<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI saw in a span of two weeks \u2013 Joel Dahmen, Sahith Theegala and Jason Day and all three of those guys told me I need to start playing pro golf again. That will get the fire going again.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During this interview, he floated the possibility of himself going pro, but hasn&#8217;t fully committed to that.\u00a0 Acknowledging that he might have the skill, the confidence to go up against the &#8216;big boys of the sport&#8217; leaves some room to develop.\u00a0 The pressure of Tour competitions and\u00a0 major events combined with the prospects of leaving his show that he loves dearly, might prove the deciding factor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe will see what the future looks like. It\u2019s tough because I am fully committed to Good Good, I have fun doing these trips and want to make sure I can be on every single trip or at least 95% of them, so with the pro schedule it would be tough if I started going that way, so we would have to figure things out.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What\u2019s Next For Dalke<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brad Dalke still seems to yearn to be on that podium next to players like Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, and Tiger Woods.\u00a0 He also wants to stay on Good Good doing his own thing.\u00a0 The perfect path for him would be to find a balance between the two.\u00a0 He could try getting onto events as an <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/2025\/03\/19\/danny-walker-rookie-golfer\/\" target=\"_self\">alternate like the rookie Danny Walker<\/a>, but that is <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/2025\/02\/23\/wesley-bryan-mexico-open-rejection\/\" target=\"_self\">no guarantee, as Bryan Wesley found out the hard way<\/a>.\u00a0 However, the Creator Classic might be the best path forward for Dalke to go pro\u2014whether or not he does, remains to be seen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Main Photo Credit:\u00a0 \u00a9 Michael Madrid-Imagn Images<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, golf influencer Brad Dalke went onto The Scratch Golf Show for an interview.\u00a0 There, he let it be known that he has been encouraged to try out for a Tour Card.\u00a0 With that said, what are Dalke\u2019s plans?
