Why Won\u2019t Wesley Bryan be Playing<\/span><\/h2>\n

Wesley Bryan did at one point have a PGA Tour card but had to relinquish it last year after barely missing the cut during the RSM Classic, his brother who co-hosts their YouTube channel did manage to claim the last spot.\u00a0 He does occasionally play in PGA tournaments though.\u00a0 He does this by getting himself on a waitlist and waiting for someone to drop out.\u00a0 In the past, this has worked out in his favor.\u00a0 Bryan has recently played in the Farmers Insurance Open<\/a> where he tied for 25th.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This time there just was not a withdrawal of another player.\u00a0 All who signed up were present and playing.\u00a0 Bryan arrived at the course with an unconfirmed position geared up and ready to play for the purse and a trophy, and walked away with neither.\u00a0 Not even the chance to swing his club.\u00a0 The whole situation was clearly disappointing for him as his chance to once again play among world-famous professionals was lost by no fault of his own, but just by circumstance.<\/span><\/p>\n

How Did Wesley Bryan React<\/span><\/h3>\n

In a fashion that is often hard to find online, Wesley Bryan reacted with a degree of class to the situation.\u00a0 He blamed no one but himself, reminding people of how he planned on getting in.\u00a0 He then teased the possibility of playing in the Cognizant Classic.\u00a0 Bryan fully acknowledged his fault and didn\u2019t try to stir anything up.\u00a0 So often when something like this gets attention it usually results in the personality in question blaming the event organizers.\u00a0 Then later coming out with a half-hearted apology.\u00a0 Wesley Bryan didn\u2019t do that and kept his head on his shoulders.\u00a0 He only said what was necessary while taking all the blame.<\/span><\/p>\n

Going Forward<\/span><\/h3>\n

As the Mexico Open continues without Wesley Bryan, he will watch from the sidelines.\u00a0 Throughout 2025 he plans on making his way through events by being an alternate any chance he gets.\u00a0 It has worked out great for him in the past despite the year still being young, and it will most likely work out again for him in the future.\u00a0 It looks like he is prepared for some pleasant surprises and also some disappointments given his current standing in the PGA.<\/span><\/p>\n
