Harris English managed to take home his fifth win at the most recent Farmers Insurance Open, leaving him with pure joy. That joy was not the only highlight of the stretch, but also the historic performance by Danny Walker. <\/span>Walker is now the first since Martin Laird, to hit all 18 greens<\/a> at the ever-so-difficult South Course. This is an accomplishment not seen since 2019 and now in the hands of Walker and company. Coming alive during the Wednesday round with a 65, the skilled performance was one to remember throughout the PGA world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What to Expect After Farmers Insurance Excellence<\/b><\/h2>\n

Danny Walker Hits on all 18<\/strong><\/h3>\n

His game during the Farmers Insurance Open was good enough for a six way tie at 42nd in the field of play. In reports from Walker to the PGA Tour he expressed, <\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/em>One of those days where drivers were working, really just never forced the issue out there,\u201d<\/em> Walker said. \u201cWas really just trying to hit the middle of the green a lot of times and then rolled in some putts and that’s how I shot a good score.\u201d<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

Not only did Walker complete such a feat for the first time since 2019, this is the 12th time any Tour athlete has managed to hit on every green.\u00a0<\/span>Inking his name into the history books is the perfect way to kick off the new year, with more expected play soon from Walker. The story is far from over for the 29-year-old who is a walking testimony. In 2021 going into the new year, Walker found himself as a waiter working for Bahama Breeze. According to reports<\/a>, that job lasted two weeks before Walker embarked on his journey we see today. <\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on himself is nothing new and continued to pay off during his stretch at the Farmers Insurance Open.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s next for Walker?\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Walker has earned the rights to his first ever PGA Tour membership, expressing his gratitude and desire for accomplishments. \u201cIt\u2019s the culmination of 20 years of work, probably,\u201d<\/em> said Walker. \u201cIt\u2019s been a dream since I was a little kid. I don\u2019t know how else to put it into words beyond that.\u201d<\/em> He kicked off the 2025 season with unfortunate performances at both the Sony Open and The American Express Open. Yet, that was all put into the rear view after his historic moments at the Farmers Insurance Open. Walker will now attempt to continue a rather respectable performance and show not only supporters but himself, why leaving his waiter position was one of the best decisions he\u2019s made.<\/span><\/p>\n

Time Off for Walker<\/h4>\n

While getting a short break from competition, Walker is currently on the outside looking in at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am<\/a>. Its expected for the young rookie to continue polishing his game and swing, before fans and his peers see him in competition again.<\/p>\n

Most recently Walker has made a change to incorporate two new clubs into his lineup, seen in his historic run at the Farmers Insurance Open. The changes revolved around his driver and putter,<\/a> ultimately proving to be a smart shake up in the game plan of Walker.<\/p>\n

The next appearance from Walker can be expected to be seen at the WM Phoenix Open, taking place February 6th-9th. The past 2024 champion was Nick Taylor with the winner getting a possible 500 FedEx-Cup points. Showing a lot of recent promise in his ability to be a force within the field, this is a prime chance for Walker to ink his name into the PGA conversations of the top athletes this season.<\/p>\n
