Last season, the 22-year-old was finally given a chance to regularly start for his boyhood club. It didn’t come easily, and the lack of stability wasn’t ideal. Over the season, he started just 22 league games, with Caleb Okoli, Jannik Vestergaard and Jamaal Lascelles<\/a> alternating in and out. He now wants to move away, with Romano confirming that the deal is on.<\/span><\/p>\n Once again, it’s positive signs that the new hierarchy is looking to maximise every deal. The reported \u00a312.5 million<\/a>\u00a0from the Monga deal is incredibly promising, and it seems like they are holding out for more once again. Nelson is an excellent centre-back, perfectly moulded for the modern game. With the experience of two seasons in the Championship, now is his time to kick on.
