Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks to sign Burnley goalkeeper Martin D\u00fabravka on a free transfer, according to Alasdair Gold.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Slovakian goalkeeper made 35 Premier League appearances for Burnley last season, but could now be set to leave Lancashire for London following the Clarets’ relegation from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

D\u00fabravka has 197 Premier League appearances to his name and is out of contract at Burnley at the end of June.<\/p>\n

Experienced Premier League Goalkeeper Set for Tottenham Hotspur Move<\/h2>\n

Martin D\u00fabravka – An Experienced Shot-Stopper for Tottenham Hotspur<\/h3>\n

The 37-year-old made his senior debut in 2008 and spent the first decade of his career playing in mainland Europe for MSK \u017dilina and FC Slovan Liberec in Slovakia, Esbjerg fB in Denmark and AC Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n

D\u00fabravka became a familiar name to those in England when he moved to Newcastle United in 2017, going on to make 179 appearances for the Magpies, helping them win the Carabao Cup and compete in the UEFA Champions League.<\/p>\n

The Slovakian international had a brief loan spell at Manchester United in 2022\/23, making two appearances, before leaving Newcastle after eight years to join Burnley.<\/p>\n

He made 35 appearances at Turf Moor last season, keeping four clean sheets, but was unable to prevent Burnley from finishing in the bottom three.<\/p>\n

Why Spurs Want a Goalkeeper<\/h3>\n

Spurs are in the market for a goalkeeper amid interest from Italy in current number one Guglielmo Vicario, who is expected to leave the club this transfer window.<\/p>\n

This would leave Anton\u00edn Kinsk\u00fd as first-choice keeper after an impressive end to the season, with the Czech international starting every game under Roberto De Zerbi and making several crucial saves in the run-in to help Spurs stay in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

With Kinsk\u00fd being promoted to first-choice, this leaves a gap to fill, and D\u00fabravka looks to be the experienced head to provide backup alongside Brandon Austin and U21 goalkeeper Luca Gunter.<\/p>\n

Signing D\u00fabravka on a free transfer would not only fill a gap in the Tottenham squad but also add experience to a group of young or inexperienced goalkeepers, with Kinsk\u00fd only 23 and Austin having played just three competitive matches for Spurs.<\/p>\n

A Busy Spurs Summer Continues<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Should Spurs close a deal for D\u00fabravka, it would mark a fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke earlier in the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Reports from David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano also suggest Spurs are targeting a number of other names, including Manchester City\u2019s Savinho<\/a>, West Ham United\u2019s Mateus Fernandes<\/a> and Newcastle United\u2019s Sandro Tonali<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Outgoings are also expected to be a major factor this summer for De Zerbi\u2019s side, with Yves Bissouma already departing, Alejo V\u00e9liz heading to Brazil, and Vicario reportedly looking towards the exit door, alongside the uncertain future of Lucas Bergvall<\/a> and Luka Vu\u0161kovi\u0107<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a result, D\u00fabravka\u2019s arrival would mark another change in what is set to be a busy summer for Tottenham, who are looking to improve on their recent Premier League seasons.<\/p>\n
