One big miss this season has been the England international Levi Colwill, who suffered an ACL injury<\/span><\/a> in pre-season training. Rosenior has now provided a promising update regarding the return of Colwill<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the Club World Cup, Levi Colwill played a vital part in Chelsea winning the trophy. The defender then reported back for pre-season training, and then suffered the setback, with the club confirming surgery will be required:<\/p>\n

\u201cLevi will now begin his recovery and be supported by the club\u2019s medical department at Cobham during his rehabilitation phase.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rosenior Provides Positive Colwill Update<\/h3>\n

Despite all the frustrations with Chelsea\u2019s recent on-field problems and off-field discontent, Rosenior has now provided a positive update on the return of Colwill.<\/p>\n

The England international has recently returned to first-team training as he aims to return to action following his ACL injury. Despite the severity of the injury, it appears the 23-year-old is edging closer to a return, with Rosenior confirming:<\/p>\n

\u201cWith an ACL [recovery], he is hitting all the benchmarks he needs to, but we need to keep making sure he is going past certain levels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s brilliant to have his presence back on the training pitch, and while we want to see him back out there on the pitch as soon as possible, it has to be within the right timeframe. He’s still looking at a good while [before returning to first-team action] yet. Hopefully, that can be this season, which would be a massive boost.\u201d<\/p>\n
