German League Dominance<\/h3>\n
Since joining the German giants Bayern Munich, Kane has continued to dominate defenders. During his first season, Kane recorded 36 league goals in 32 appearances and 44 goals in 45 games in all competitions. It would be a rare barren season for Germany\u2019s most successful team, not winning a trophy and adding to questions about Harry Kane’s legacy.<\/p>\n
Kane\u2019s second season in Germany was far more successful, however. He would again perform well in the league, scoring 26 goals in 31 appearances. He would finish the season with 41 goals in 51 appearances and add an elusive trophy to his cabinet with the Bundesliga title.<\/p>\n
This season, Kane seems to be on track to obliterate his own personal goals-per-season record. He\u2019s already bagged 41 goals in 35 games in all competitions and needs just three more goals to beat his own record for goals in a season.<\/p>\n
England will be hoping that he continues this great form into the upcoming World Cup this summer, and if he can bring it home as captain, there\u2019s no doubt that he will go down as an England great.<\/p>\n
Harry Kane\u2019s Legacy Amongst England\u2019s Greats<\/h3>\n
Harry Kane stands alongside some of the finest strikers England has produced, particularly in conversations about the modern era. His name is mentioned in the same breath as Rooney, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker. The question is no longer whether he is an England great, but where he ranks amongst them.<\/p>\n
His legacy at club level is questionable. Many tarred him with the brush of having to leave Spurs to achieve trophies, rather than leading them to one himself. Rooney stands clear at club level as far as trophies are concerned, with five league titles, a Champions League, a Europa League, one FA Cup and three League Cups. Neither Shearer nor Lineker won many trophies at club level, similar to Kane; however, that doesn\u2019t take away from their footballing ability.<\/p>\n
As for international achievements, England has failed on numerous occasions to actually win anything. With that being said, Harry Kane\u2019s legacy cannot be ignored as England\u2019s record goal scorer. Rooney recorded 53 international goals, Lineker 48 and Shearer 30.<\/p>\n
Kane captained England in the 2018 World Cup semi-final, the 2020 and 2024 Euros finals and hopefully for England fans, to victory in the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n
