In Andy King\u2019s third game at the helm, a few changes came in a bid to find a second in this year. Like against Birmingham, Jakub Stolarczyk lost his place in the starting lineup with Asmir Begovic taking his spot. At centre-back,\u00a0 Caleb Okoli came in for Jamaal Lascelles, which made sense given the 32-year-old’s lack of minutes this season. Okoli accommodated Ben Nelson, a partnership that has been on show plenty of times this season. Meanwhile, at full-back, there were no changes as Luke Thomas and Ricardo Pereira started once again.<\/p>\n

In midfield,\u00a0 Oliver Skipp partnered Harry Winks. The former Spurs duo were reunited in the starting eleven for the first time since a 2-1 win against Stoke in November. Just in front of them was Divine Mukasa, who recently made a loan move to the Foxes from Manchester City. The wonderkid got off to a dream start in his first start with a goal and an assist early on.<\/p>\n

As for the front three, it was unchanged from the clash at St Andrews. Abdul Fatawu began off to the right and scored another brilliant goal to make it 3-0 in the first half. Meanwhile, Stephy Mavdidi is still struggling to emulate his form from last time in the second tier. Patson Daka capped off the eleven and even scored his second league goal of the campaign. In the first 45, the Zambian looked much improved as he had the time and space to exploit the opposition backline.<\/p>\n

Although the chances did rely on mistakes from the opposition or individual brilliance, the lead was exactly what King’s side needed. However, it, of course, all came crashing down in the next 45 minutes. Saints boss Tonda Eckert reacted immediately by making a triple change during the break, with Layton Stewart crawling one back just after the hour mark. By the 80th minute, the scoreline was still locked at 3-1, a lead many thought would be impossible to throw away.<\/p>\n
