Manchester United\u2019s topsy-turvy season has continued with a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa at Villa Park. The Red Devils<\/a> fell behind to a brilliant curling effort from Morgan Rogers, before Mateus Cunha pounced on a Matty Cash error to level the game. A second goal from Rogers<\/a> was enough for Villa to get the three points. Following the game, Ruben Amorim spoke to Sky Sports addressing the injury to Bruno Fernandes.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils form has been wildly inconsistent, winning twice in the last five league games, including the 4-4 draw at home to Bournemouth. Villa continued their impressive form, keeping the pressure on Manchester City and Arsenal above them in the Premier League table. The big blow was seeing their Portuguese star Fernandes leave the game at half time due, with Lisandro Martinez coming on in midfield.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s soft tissue so it\u2019s going to be a while. We\u2019ll see,\u201d Amorim told Sky Sports<\/a> when asked for an update on Fernandes\u2019 injury.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim Discusses Manchester United’s Injury Issues<\/h3>\n

Discussing the clubs ongoing injury problems, Amorim said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is really strange. During this year, especially at this time, we have so many problems, but we have to cope with that. I think [Jack] Fletcher did his first game, so that is good news, [Shea] Lacey the same, so we will try to find solutions and go for the next game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a manager for six years and even Sporting is all about the academy, so it\u2019s about the history. Every manager wants to bring players through from the academy and not spend money because this gives value to the manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to win and want to be certain that the players that come in from the academy are not going to suffer too much. I\u2019m just trying to help the club, it doesn\u2019t matter if it\u2019s from the academy or abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n
