The U’s have lost twice in their last three league games and managed just one win in nine as the pressure begins to mount on head coach, Gary Rowett.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, that victory came at home against Ipswich. However, the U’s haven’t kept a clean sheet in 11 games so tightening up at the back is clearly an area they need to improve.<\/p>\n

Charlton find themselves without a win in six, losing five, but have had a tough run of fixtures during that spell. However, the Addicks lost just three times from their opening 14 league games following their return to the Championship.<\/p>\n

Nathan Jones’ side have four wins from nine at the Valley, while the U’s have picked up nine points on their travels this season.<\/p>\n

Hidde ter Avest is the latest injury doubt for Oxford after the defender was replaced at half time during their defeat against Preston last time out. He joins Matt Phillips, Brodie Spencer and Cameron Brannagan on the sidelines but Przemyslaw Placheta could be set for a return.<\/p>\n

The Addicks are without Amari’i Bell, Charlie Kelman, Josh Edwards, Matty Godden and Reece Burke.<\/p>\n

Oxford are unbeaten in the last seven meetings between the two sides and have won five from the last six. The U’s have only lost once from their last nine visits to the Valley so will be hoping they can continue that run this weekend.<\/p>\n

Gary Rowett has only faced Charlton five times but has three wins, including victory at the Valley last time as Millwall boss in 2020. He has also faced up against Nathan Jones on five occasions, winning twice and losing once.<\/p>\n
