Sky Sports<\/a> has reported that Man Utd\u2019s priority this summer is a new midfielder, with Carlos Baleba, Anderson, and Adam Wharton all admired at Old Trafford. The rise of Anderson has been nothing short of sensational since leaving Newcastle for the City Ground for a fee of \u00a335m in July 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He appears to be well thought of at international level by England manager Thomas Tuchel, who recently praised the 23-year-old for his performances for The Three Lions:<\/p>\n

“Anderson is a key player for us at the moment,” said Tuchel<\/a>. “He is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League – that’s why he is with us and starting for us.<\/p>\n

“He deserves it because he has been nothing but impressive. He has to keep on going now, though. He is a very complete and mobile midfielder, and that’s what he keeps showing me.”<\/p>\n

“He is an elite player with the right attitude and a lot of talent. He is fulfilling his role in the best way possible so we are very happy with him,” added Tuchel.<\/p>\n

The Future for Elliot Anderson<\/h3>\n

Anderson is a highly intelligent midfielder who works hard for his teammates. He provides a solid screen for his teammates in defence. He reads the game well, intercepting dangerous attacks while being an impressive tackler.<\/p>\n

He appears to be growing in confidence, and his quality stands out on the pitch. His defensive discipline is invaluable, but he\u2019s also adept at winning the ball and launching attacks. It remains to be seen where Anderson goes, but a move in January looks unlikely, especially for the reported \u00a3100 million valuation by Nottingham Forest. If Anderson continues to progress, it seems likely he will attract plenty of interest from rival clubs.<\/p>\n
