All three groups remain competitive ahead of the final stage of matches in November. Here is your look at what happened in the October window. Honduras has yet to lose and on 8 points, is two points clear of second place Costa Rica. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/football\/2025\/09\/10\/costa-rica-panama-stumble-early-in-concacaf-world-cup-qualifying\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Haiti looked to be in a good place to qualify<\/a> after the first two games, but slipped to third in the group after four games on five points, while Nicaragua can&#8217;t win the group, with an 0-1-3 record.<\/p>\n<p>Haiti&#8217;s 3-0 win over Nicaragua on October 9th saw Duckens Nazon on the scoresheet, Honduras grinded out a draw at home against Costa Rica. Honduras seized control of the group with a 3-0 win over Haiti. Santos Laguna&#8217;s Anthony Lozano was among the scorers.<\/p>\n<p>Costa Rica kept their World Cup qualifying hopes alive with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/sport\/36997163\/world-cup-qualifier-chaos-police-storm-dressing-room\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4-1 win over Nicaragua<\/a> that saw Francisco Calvo from the Saudi Pro League score a bicycle kick, Adrian Martinez from NYCFC in MLS scored twice for the decisive goals. Costa Rica will try to make a 7th World Cup next month, the game against Honduras on November 18th in San Jose looms large, but first they must defeat Haiti on November 13th. In this window, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/world-cup-2026-qualifiers-concacaf-9c956d5ae2dcadb6366fae5340457bdd\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Curacao thumped Jamaica 2-0<\/a> at home to tighten the group standings, but Jamaica rebounded to a 4-0 win over Bermuda, while Curacao was caught out by Trinidad and Tobago. The final games of the November window pit Curacao against Jamaica in Kingston, while T&amp;T hosts Bermuda. CONCACAF expert Jon Arnold <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/sports\/soccer\/dutch-born-players-making-suriname-world-cup-dreams-a-reality\/ar-AA1Oo8tf\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote on how Dutch based players are letting Suriname dream<\/a> of their first World Cup as the nation&#8217;s football has drastically improved. Suriname played two dramatic games in October. Virgil Misidjan from NEC Nijimegen scored an extra time goal to tie Guatemala at home. Four days later, Suriname conceded in the 96th minute against Panama in their away game, it finished 1-1, and thus Suriname could not establish supremacy in the group.<\/p>\n<p>Panama beat El Salvador during this window and results away against Guatemala and at home against El Salvador in November will determine whether they reach their second ever FIFA World Cup, in what is a golden generation for this team. Guatemala&#8217;s 1-0 win over El Salvador has them third in the group on 5 points. El Salvador on three points would need to win twice to finish on nine points and qualify.
