Crystal Palace<\/a> have experienced a rather quiet transfer window with the departure of Eze creating many of the headlines. The only arrivals at the time of writing are Walter Benitez and Borna Sosa.<\/p>\n

The South London club have been linked with a move for Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss<\/a>, but it now appears those talks have stalled, and the Eagles have now shown a concrete interest in RB Leipzig\u2019s Austrian international midfielder Christoph Baumgartner. It is thought Oliver Glasner is a big fan of the attacking midfielder, who has been described as being “capable of competing at the highest level.<\/a>” He is also seen as\u00a0an alternative in case the El Khannouss deal falls through.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a difficult build-up and start to the Premier League season, with Palace losing Eze to Arsenal and being involved in a heated legal battle in the CAS courtroom regarding the European competition they will play in, which is now determined to be the Europa Conference League.<\/a><\/p>\n

“I had to reset my mind because sometimes you lose your focus of what’s really important. It’s also important that our fans switch, instead of shouting against somebody, shout for us,” said Oliver Glasner regarding external troubles that have affected Palace.<\/p>\n

“This is what we need, this is what this group deserves. I remember during the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Aston Villa, there were 40,000 supporters shouting for us, it gives us strength.<\/p>\n

“You never get energy when somebody wishes somebody else bad things, you get energy when somebody supports you and says ‘well done, excellent, come on, keep going!’ But if you say ‘this is s***’, it doesn’t help you and you don’t get confidence from this either.
