As reported by Mike McGrath<\/a>, Valencia are the front-runners in the race for Winks. Carlos Corber\u00e1n took charge of the Spanish side back in December 2024, and miraculously guided them to a 12th-place finish. His time at West Bromwich Albion will certainly be a factor in the interest, as a 94th-minute goal from Winks stole a point away from his side two seasons ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to this,<\/span> Fiorentina are also looking at the midfielder, whilst Brentford are long-term admirers. With just a year left on his contract, and back-to-back appearances off the bench, Winks may favour a move away from the King Power. Furthermore, constant issues between him and the manager<\/a> clearly suggest he could be an issue in the dressing room, which could also be a determining factor.<\/span><\/p>\n

The departure of Winks would mark City’s fourth of the window. Conor Coady, Wilfred Ndidi and Mads Hermansen all departed before the season opener, whilst Bilal El Khannouss remains a target for several clubs.<\/p>\n

Losing a player of this quality so late in the window could be detrimental to the club’s season. Since joining in 2023, the 29-year-old has been key to the way City’s managers want to play as under Enzo Maresca, he became the first player to reach 2500 passes at 90% accuracy in Championship history.
