Life at Stamford Bridge feels good again, and the club are not resting on their laurels and continue to reshape the squad ahead of the new season. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Estevao and Dario Essugo have all joined. Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons will seemingly join Chelsea soon.<\/p>\n

Joao Felix and Noni Madueke are two high-profile players who have departed Enzo Maresca’s team this summer. It appears one more player set to leave is Albanian international striker Armando Broja. The 23-year-old has suffered in recent years with injuries and unproductive loan spells.<\/p>\n

Broja has definitely suffered in recent years, with knee and ankle injuries sidelining him, while a cruciate ligament tear sustained in 2022 kept him out for 275 days.<\/p>\n

Qualities of Armando Broja<\/h3>\n

If the deal goes through, it remains to be seen if Broja can score the goals to help Burnley survive. Ex-Chelsea boss <\/span>Mauricio Pochettino<\/span><\/a> spoke fondly of Broja when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge: \u201cThe potential is amazing. We\u2019re talking about one of the young strikers in England and in Europe with most potential. But the problem now is he needs to push himself, and we\u2019re going to try to help him to realise that never it is enough.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe was nearly one year away (injured) <\/span>and<\/span> of <\/span>course<\/span> now he needs time. It\u2019s not easy for him to perform <\/span>and to be<\/span> at the level we expect. <\/span>Our <\/span>expectation is massive<\/span> and<\/span> we <\/span>really<\/span> believe in him.<\/span> We\u2019re going to push him to improve every day,” said Pochettino.<\/span><\/p>\n

It appears Maresca wants to move in a different direction, and with Pedro and Delap joining this summer, it has seemingly left Broja surplus to requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
