Keith Andrews, the Brentford head coach, has made it clear that he expects the forward to report back for training: <\/span>“He has gone back to London. It was his decision, obviously because of speculation,” Andrews told the official Brentford media team after his first game in charge of the Bees against Gil Vicente ended in a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n

“There are clubs interested and he felt it was the right thing to go back to London.<\/p>\n

“It’s simple really, he folds back into the group next week when we come back to training.”<\/p>\n

Wissa only has 12 months left on his current deal, but Brentford do hold the option for another year. At 28 years old, Wissa feels this is a golden opportunity for him to play Champions League football, an option he may never get again.<\/span><\/p>\n
