Ambitious Sunderland look set to spend another \u20ac17 million very soon. Fabrizio Romano<\/a> has confirmed that a deal has been done for the Black Cats to sign defender Noah Sadiki from Belgian side Union Saint Gilloise.<\/p>\n

This deal comes after Sunderland broke their own transfer record twice this summer when signing Enzo Le Fee from Roma and Habib Diarra from Strasbourg.<\/p>\n

Noah Sadiki to Sign From Union Saint Gilloise<\/h3>\n

As per Fabrizio Romano’s tweet, Sadiki has agreed to sign for Sunderland. The contract is to June 2030, the medical is complete and the deal will cost the Black Cats \u20ac17m plus \u20ac3m add-ons.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old can play either as a fullback, central midfielder, or as a defensive midfielder. The Congo international started his career at Anderlecht featuring for then-manager Vincent Kompany. Following 19 appearances and a spell out on loan, Sadiki moved to Union Saint Gilloise in 2023 for a reported fee of \u20ac1.4 million.<\/p>\n

He has since made a further 108 appearances in Belgium’s top tier, scoring twice and helping Union to win the Belgian Pro League title last season, qualifying for the Champions League. It is understood that Sunderland beat off several other top European clubs to sign the 20-year-old prodigy.<\/p>\n

Third Big Money Signing and More to Come<\/h3>\n

The \u20ac17 million signing of Congo international Noah Sadiki comes after Sunderland twice broke their transfer record this summer. First. Enzo Le Fee made his loan deal permanent by signing for around \u00a320 million, then on July 1st, Habib Diarra signed in a deal that could cost the Black Cats north of \u20ac30 million.<\/p>\n

Sunderland are reportedly close to signing Atletico Madrid left-back Reinaldo according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, with the club also interested in strengthening several other areas including the upfront and in goal.<\/p>\n
