Sunderland defender Trai Hume is attracting interest from a host of clubs, according to Sky Sports. The Northern Ireland international has impressed since moving to Wearside from Linfield in 2022. The fullback who can also play as a central defender has a contract with the Black Cats until 2027, with an option of a further year.<\/p>\n

The tough-tackling defender played 48 games last season as the Black Cats won promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs, beating Sheffield United in the final at Wembley.<\/p>\n Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris will be desperate to keep Trai Hume, a player he called a “warrior” in April this year following the defenders’ free kick that was enough to earn victory at West Bromwich Albion. It was Hume’s second goal in as many games and Le Bris was full of praise for his fullback who was playing at left back due to injuries.
