How West Ham Have Lined Up Recently<\/h3>\n

Potter, who was once quite experimental with his team selections, has resided to a 3-4-3 in recent matches, which has led to mixed fortunes. That being said, we expect Potter to play a 4-2-3-1 against their London rivals.<\/p>\n

Alphonse Areola retains his place as the Hammers\u2019 first-choice goalkeeper. Despite keeping consecutive clean sheets away from Arsenal and at home to Leicester, he has failed to keep a clean sheet in any of his last eight matches.<\/p>\n

Potter has consistently played a back five consisting of two wing-backs, with Oliver Scarles who has replaced Emerson in recent matches at left-wing back and Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-wing back. The centre-back trio is made up of Max Kilman, whom former manager Julen Lopetegui signed from Wolves in the summer, Aaron Cresswell and Jean-Clair Todibo.<\/p>\n

Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse and Carlos Soler are often in frequent rotation in midfield alongside Tomas Soucek, with the latter scoring in West Ham’s last away match.<\/p>\n

Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus have played on the wings for the majority of the season but have slotted in to replace striker Niclas Fullkrug when the German was injured. Since his move from Dortmund, he has scored three goals and gained two assists in 14 Premier League matches.<\/p>\n

West Ham Recent Form<\/h3>\n

Potter’s appointment to the East London side has failed to reach expectations so far, with his side failing to improve on where Lopetegui left off after he was dismissed after a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City. This was his ninth defeat in 20 matches in charge of West Ham, with the Spaniard now in charge of the Qatari national team.<\/p>\n

As for Potter, his side sit 17th, and while they may be safe from relegation to the Championship, the last time his side won came against relegated Leicester City back in February. Since then, the Hammers have gone winless in eight matches, drawing four and losing four.<\/p>\n

The most recent match for West Ham came at home against rivals Tottenham, in which a Bowen first-half equaliser shared the points between both sides. This was his 11th goal in all competitions this season.<\/p>\n

Since Potter’s appointment, West Ham have only won three matches, conceding goals in the dying embers of the match in their last three matches. This streak includes failing to beat relegated Southampton at home after conceding in added time, with the Saints currently statistically the joint worst side in league history, and conceding to Carlos Baleba in the 92nd minute in a game the Hammers were leading until the 89th minute.<\/p>\n

This result leaves West Ham in 17th, two points from their opponents Manchester United.<\/p>\n

West Ham Injuries To Consider<\/h3>\n

Potter will have just three injuries to take into account when choosing his team selection for West Ham’s clash in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Crysencio Summerville is ruled out until the end of the season with a hamstring injury, and Michail Antonio is out with a broken leg.<\/p>\n

Edson Alvarez is out with a back injury he picked up after the Hammers 2-1 defeat away to Premier League champions Liverpool but there is expectations that he may return before the final match of West Ham’s Premier League campaign.<\/p>\n
