The “documents are being checked” before he puts pen to paper, but the final details should soon have been completed.<\/p>\n The 20-year-old made his debut in 2021, having spent six years in La Masia, and burst onto the scene for club and country<\/a> as a player with “huge potential<\/a>.” He played almost 100 games across his first two campaigns for the first team and was an integral part of Barcelona’s most recent squad to win La Liga.<\/p>\n However, he endured a serious setback to his development at the end of 2023. The Spanish midfielder missed most of last season after a knee injury<\/a> on international duty and was absent from EURO 2024.<\/p>\n At his youthful age, he has shown resilience to return to full fitness. Now, as Gavi has given his word to Blaugrana for a new contract, the vision for the future continues to clear up for the Catalonian club.<\/p>\n Gavi is not the only player to be preparing for a contract.
