How Long Will Saka Be Out For?<\/h3>\n

Mikel Arteta gave an update on how long Saka will be out for after sustaining a hamstring injury in the last game, saying<\/a>: “It\u2019s not looking good. He\u2019s going to be out for many weeks. It\u2019s a huge blow but it\u2019s going to be a big exercise for us to overcome another challenge.”<\/p>\n

The Gunners’ head coach has also opened up on the English winger’s condition after his injury and how he can be replaced, stating<\/a>: “I\u2019m putting some ideas together. I haven\u2019t got there yet but I have a few. I want to speak with them as well and take it in a positive way. It means we\u2019re going to be different. We went through the period with Martin (Odegaard) and the period with five, six defenders missing. We\u2019re looking at it with positive energy.<\/p>\n

“He was gutted. You could tell that he hasn\u2019t been injured because he was really emotional and really down. He will be fine but I think he\u2019s going to need a few days. Gabi (Jesus) has played there, Ethan (Nwaneri) has played there, Leo (Trossard) can play there in relation to how the unit moves. Kai (Havertz) can play there. We will talk to them and understand how they feel about it.”<\/p>\n

How Many Games Could Saka Miss?<\/h3>\n

Arteta’s update indicates that Saka is going to miss quite a few fixtures for the Gunners heading into 2025. He is definitely ruled out for their next two Premier League outings against Ipswich Town (December 27) and Brentford (January 1).<\/p>\n

If the Englishman isn’t able to recover quickly and if his recovery takes time, then he could also miss crucial matches against Newcastle United (Carabao Cup semi-final), Manchester United (FA Cup third round) as well as the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in January.<\/p>\n
