Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has reported<\/a> that the Red Devils are willing to let their star youth academy product leave in the 2025 summer transfer window and that they would even be open to the prospect of selling him in the January window if they get an appropriate offer for him.<\/p>\n

The journalist further states that a key reason why this is being considered is because the attacker leaving the club would allow them to erase his high salary (rumoured<\/a> to be \u00a3375,000-a-week) off their financial books.<\/p>\n

Plettenberg claims that getting rid of his wages would “free up key points” for them in the financial fair play system and that would, as a result, give the club more leeway to be more proactive in the transfer market next year. The winger is currently contracted to the Red Devils until the end of June, 2028 after having signed a long-term deal in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rashford’s Lifestyle Problems Concerning United<\/h3>\n

The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards has also now reported<\/a> that a reason why the Premier League side are now open to the prospect of letting Rashford leave is because their hierarchy has developed concerns over his lifestyle choices. It’s claimed that the club are fearing that he isn’t as focused on improving himself as a footballer as much as he should be and that a number of the 27-year-old’s off-the-pitch issues are affecting his performances.<\/p>\n

Rashford had a pretty sharp start to the new era under Amorim, scoring three goals in the first two Premier League games under him. However, he’s been benched for the last two league games and failed to make much of an impact as a substitute. The Englishman, who has made 425 appearances for the Red Devils in his career and has 205 goal contributions (138 goals, 67 assists) in all competitions, will need to start firing on all cylinders and get goals consistency to overturn the club’s desire to potentially let him go.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
