Harvey Barnes continues to start at left wing and is preferred in that position when he and Gordon are both fit.<\/p>\n The Magpies have only lost once in all competitions this season but will be disappointed to drop points against Everton. The draw featured few chances, but Gordon missed a penalty in the first half. Howe has persisted with a 4-3-3 formation in all of his matches.<\/p>\n They are seventh in the table, just sixth off leaders Liverpool, and are very much in contention for the European places. Newcastle, meanwhile, are 11th so could look to rely on their pacy wingers to strike on the counter.<\/p>\n Howe will need to decide whether to reintroduce Isak into the starting lineup following his recent toe injury. If so, Gordon will have to move back to the wing and will compete with Barnes for that spot on the left flank.<\/p>\n Kieran Trippier has picked up a hamstring problem and although it is \u201cprobably nothing too serious<\/a>\u201d, he will be out for a few weeks.
