Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Kellyman has suffered “another long hamstring injury”.<\/a> This will keep him out for an expected “two months”. The 18-year-old has been described as “injury prone”<\/a>; he also had a serious hamstring injury in November 2023 which he did not return from until January of 2024.<\/p>\n

He did bounce back quickly, scoring three in six for Aston Villa’s U21s, but a reoccurring muscle injury could be a big problem. Chelsea have already struggled with injuries to new signings, with Christopher Nkunku only making two league starts last season. They will want to avoid a similar feat with the young Kellyman, who they paid \u00a319 million for; long absences could stunt his development and put potential suitors off. After all, this project is based around buying young talents and selling them on.<\/p>\n

No Impact on Enzo Maresca’s Squad<\/h3>\n
