Earlier, Nketiah came close to joining Forest after the club agreed a deal worth \u00a330 million with Arsenal.\u00a0<\/span>Even a medical was booked<\/span>, but the Reds\u00a0<\/span>couldn’t<\/span>\u00a0agree on personal terms with the player, leading to the transfer\u00a0<\/span>breaking down.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Palace have been\u00a0<\/span>monitoring Nketiah<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for a long time. The South London club were also interested in submitting a bid for the attacker in the January window earlier this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has played second fiddle throughout his career and\u00a0<\/span>now<\/span>\u00a0intends to establish himself as a first-choice striker. Despite\u00a0<\/span>starting just 39.6%<\/span><\/a>\u00a0of his 187 senior appearances, he has scored 43 goals and provided eight assists.<\/span><\/p>\n

But\u00a0<\/span>Nketiah’s<\/span>\u00a0move to Selhurst Park will reduce the goal-scoring burden on the Frenchman as both players compete for a spot in the starting lineup.<\/span><\/p>\n
