According to journalist<\/span> Fabrizio Romano<\/span>, Marseille had submitted a “new proposal”<\/a> worth \u00a323 million to sign Nketiah, but<\/span>\u00a0Arsenal <\/span>have<\/span> swiftly rejected the offer as they <\/span>hold<\/span> out for more money. They also want a sell-on clause to be included in the deal. Marseille\u2019s previous offer<\/a> was valued at \u00a316.8 million and had a payment structure closer to what Arsenal desired.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is believed Arsenal have placed a <\/span>price tag of \u00a330 million<\/span><\/a> on Nketiah and are refusing to budge on their valuation. Marseille “could now start to look at new options” if the British club refuse to reduce their demands.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having seen Marseille strike a <\/span>\u00a325.5 million deal for<\/span> Mason Greenwood<\/span><\/a>, it is doubtful whether Arsenal will accept a fee lower than that for Nketiah. The Hale End graduate has more experience than the former Manchester United player and would arguably add more firepower to the French club’s attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

Five-Year Contract Already in Place<\/h3>\n

While Arsenal <\/span>are<\/span> yet to find an agreement with Marseille, the Ligue 1 side <\/span>have<\/span> already finalised personal terms with Nketiah.<\/span> The English international has accepted a five-year contract with the club.<\/span><\/p>\n
