Ornstein also states that United have agreed a deal with the French club to sign the teenage sensation for around \u00a352 million. It’s added that his initial preference was to join the Spanish heavyweights, but they refused to pay a similar amount as the Premier League side. The journalist states that Yoro has now warmed to the idea of joining United and his latest steps indicate a desire to complete the switch once the terms of his contract are finalised.<\/p>\n

The Athletic states that the Red Devils consider the 18-year-old centre-back as a primary target after realising that he is regarded around Europe as being a “generational talent”.<\/a> He made 44 appearances for Lille across all competitions last season, helping them keep 15 clean sheets in 32 Ligue 1 games. Yoro was hailed as “one of the best central defenders in Europe” by ex-Lille manager Paulo Fonseca, and United getting him over Real Madrid will be seen as a major coup.<\/p>\n
