Fabrizio Romano<\/a> has reported that the Red Devils plan to bring club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy back to Old Trafford in a coaching role. He adds that Van Nistelrooy is expected to be an addition to Ten Hag’s coaching staff along with Dutch coach Rene Hake.<\/p>\n

Hake is currently the manager of Eredivisie<\/a> side Go Ahead Eagles, but the journalist adds that the Red Devils plan to add him into their coaching staff. Romano adds that the “club side [are] confident” on these acquisitions and are ready get contracts secured for them. It’s also stated that the United hierarchy<\/a> are ready to get Ten Hag to sign a new contract before the beginning of the new campaign. But it’s clear that they’re ready to give him some extra help with the addition of more coaches to help the Red Devils perform at a higher level next season.<\/p>\n

Van Nistelrooy And Hake Can Provide Wealth of Experience for Erik ten Hag<\/h3>\n

Van Nistelrooy is fondly remembered as one of the best strikers of his generation and someone who enjoyed a prolific period at Old Trafford from 2001 to 2006. He scored 150 goals in 219 appearances for the club and has transitioned into a coaching role since 2018. The 53-year-old has worked as the head coach for PSV Eindhoven’s under-19 side and their reserves side too. But his most major achievement was in the 2022\/23 season, when he managed the PSV Eindhoven side, helping them win the KNVB Cup and the Johan Cruyff Shield.<\/p>\n

Hake has been coaching since 2010 in the Netherlands and managed teams like FC Twente and FC Utrecht before assuming the Go Ahead Eagles job in 2022.
