Chelsea reportedly have<\/span> “<\/span>genuine interest<\/span>“<\/span><\/a> in the Boca Juniors <\/span>center-back,<\/span> and are monitoring him alongside many other youth prospects. The 19-year-old has a roughly <\/span>\u00a320 million release clause<\/span><\/a> in his contract, though a formal proposal is yet to <\/span>be made<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anselmino is just one of the many talents named as potential signings for Chelsea in Todd <\/span>Boehly’s<\/span> youth project. The London club is also close to confirming the signing of Brazilian talent <\/span>Estevao<\/span><\/a> from Palmeiras, and have recently shown interest in <\/span>Crysencio Summerville<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Jhon Duran<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Samu Omorodion<\/span><\/a>. Plenty more talents, <\/span>particularly<\/span> from South American clubs, have been linked with and signed for Chelsea over the last few transfer windows.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is Anselmino?<\/span><\/h3>\n

The 2005-born talent has been dubbed the<\/span> “<\/span>great jewel<\/span>“<\/span><\/a> of Boca Juniors by Argentina news outlets. He has climbed up through his <\/span>club’s<\/span> youth ranks, joining the first team in January 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has only managed 5 appearances in all competitions in the 2024 season, although he <\/span>was struggling<\/span> with a muscle injury that had him sidelined for 11 games. Primarily a centre-back, Anselmino is right-footed and stands at 6 foot 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a contract running <\/span>up<\/span> until December 2028, Boca Juniors holds plenty of leverage should any club make a proposal. As mentioned earlier, the player does have a rumoured \u00a320 million release clause. <\/span><\/p>\n
