Fabrizio Romano<\/a> has reported that there is still a good chance that the English defender will leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, in the case that a good transfer offer comes up. The Red Devils want to recuperate some of the \u00a350 million<\/a> that they had paid to sign him from Crystal Palace in 2019.<\/p>\n

The journalist adds that it’s “not guaranteed exit yet” but there is a strong possibility of him joining another club this summer. He further states that there is interest from Premier League and Serie A clubs for the 26-year-old fullback, who only has one year remaining on his contract at United. Wan-Bissaka saw himself fall down the pecking order in Ten Hag’s squad last season and was strictly second-choice for Diogo Dalot in the right-back role, only getting to play in that position due to injuries to left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.<\/p>\n

What Went Wrong For Wan-Bissaka?<\/h3>\n

Even though the English full-back made 30 appearances for the Red Devils last season, he still missed 23 games due to injury problems or because the Dutch coach did not see him as an upgrade for Dalot. The Portuguese defender has definitely earned a regular starting spot in the side after winning the Player’s Player of the Year award for his heroics in the 2023\/24 season.<\/p>\n

That is probably why United are open to selling Wan-Bissaka as they don’t see him as significantly better than Dalot.
