The Telegraph states that tensions reached an unhealthy point before Dortmund’s match against Real at the start of June, with defender Mats Hummels allegedly criticising Terzic’s tactics at the time, the German player’s words to\u00a0<\/span>Bild<\/span><\/a>\u00a0said to have instigated the pair’s falling out, which was believed to have turned “violent”.<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>I was furious because I <\/span>was of the opinion<\/span> that Borussia Dortmund shouldn\u2019t play like that \u2013 against any opponent in the world<\/span><\/em>,” said the <\/span>35-year old<\/span> centre-back.<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>I didn\u2019t think it could go on like this. I felt insulted to stand on the pitch in that kit. So submissive, so inferior in footballing terms. The two Stuttgart games and the away game in Leverkusen. That was barricading with 11 men in the box<\/span><\/em>.” Dortmund lost both Stuttgart matches and drew to Leverkusen.<\/span><\/p>\n
