The Foxes\u00a0<\/span>have confirmed<\/span><\/a>\u00a0that the 37-year-old forward has agreed to sign a new one-year contract that will run until the end of the 2024\/25 season. His previous deal <\/span>was expected<\/span> to expire at the end of the 23\/24 campaign, but the veteran striker has opted to stay with Leicester and have another go at troubling Premier League defenders in the upcoming campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vardy is delighted to have signed a new contract with Leicester and told their official website:<\/span> “<\/span>To get the numbers that I did [last season], <\/span>I\u2019m<\/span> delighted with it, but <\/span>there\u2019s<\/span> still more to come. I look after myself. <\/span>I\u2019ve<\/span> always said that age is just a number. <\/span>My legs feel fine <\/span>so<\/span> that\u2019s<\/span> why<\/span> I carry on until my legs <\/span>say<\/span> \u2018<\/span>that\u2019s<\/span> it, game ove<\/span>r\u2019.<\/span> There will be a day when that comes, but <\/span>that\u2019s<\/span> not right now. Vardy scored in 11 straight Premier League games in the 15\/16 campaign, setting a new record in doing so. He has a pretty solid goal-scoring record in the division, having scored 136 goals and provided 45 assists in 307 Premier League matches.
