Other disqualifying events include violence, corruption or hate crimes.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.premierleague.com\/news\/3894246\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Premier League<\/a> released a statement confirming the completion of the takeover:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;\u201cSir Jim Ratcliffe\u2019s acquisition of 25% of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/football\/manchester-united\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manchester United<\/a>\u00a0FC, and further investment of $300m in the club, has been approved by the Premier League board following the completion of the owners\u2019 and directors\u2019 test.
