However,\u00a0 it emerged <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Plettigoal\/status\/1744302833686425904\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">over the weekend<\/a> that German giants Bayern Munich were interested in the player as well but made no formal approach.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, January 9, Spurs looked to have finalised a deal with the Serie A team, who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Plettigoal\/status\/1744627623190245488\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accepted a bid<\/a> in the region of \u20ac25 million + \u20ac5 million in add-ons for the Romanian. With the clubs in agreement and Spurs and the player in agreement, it looked set in stone that Dragusin would be a Tottenham player. This was until Bayern Munich swooped in with a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Plettigoal\/status\/1744969226731798716\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last-minute bid<\/a> in an effort to hijack the deal!<\/p>\n<p>Genoa accepted Bayern&#8217;s bid and it was then <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FabrizioRomano\/status\/1744806542912753941\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">up to the player<\/a> to decide who he would join.
