Wolverhampton currently find themselves in the middle of the Premier League table. Safely out of the relegation zone, Gary O’Neil’s club is also adrift from the European positions. John Percy<\/a> reports that Wolves are looking to make moves in the January transfer window to try and regroup their squad into a more formidable opponent. Financial limitations, however, could limit their ambitions.<\/p>\n

The Englishman covered Wolves’ January expectations in an article for The Telegraph<\/a>. After netting \u00a3140 million by selling players during the summer transfer window, the club is expected “to report financial losses of \u00a365 million.” This will not stop them from pursuing two attacking pieces next month.<\/p>\n

“Fringe players” are expected to be sold or loaned away to raise the funds necessary for bringing in the winger and striker O’Neil is targeting. Near the top of the list of desired purchases is Czech club Viktoria Plzen’s striker Rafiu Durosinmi.<\/a> The 20-year-old Nigerian has netted nine times in only 19 matches across all competitions. O’Neil reports that the player has a \u00a310 million valuation.<\/p>\n
